K9 Stepped Windows are built upon standard K9 glass window substrates by adding one or more stepped ring structures, enabling them to simultaneously meet the dual requirements of optical protection and precision mechanical assembly.

Fused Silica Double-Sided Polished Round Stepped Window
Double-sided polished circular stepped windows are precision-machined from high-quality optical quartz glass (JGS1, JGS2, JGS3) and Corning 7980 fused silica. The unique stepped design features a concentric smaller-diameter step ground onto a larger-diameter substrate, creating an integral locating structure for accurate, flush-mount installation in optical systems.
Steps increase mechanical strength and reduce the risk of window deformation in high pressure or vibration environments. Suitable for high mechanical stress scenarios such as aerospace and on-board optical systems.
Stepped windows are used in a wide variety of applications where spectral isolation is required.
